Gallery: Jigsaw Gallery NYC

It seems that I’ve been posting a lot about resources for printing and outlets to unload them so here’s another in the series. Jigsaw gallery is a small gallery located in NYC’s East Village, formerly the home of ornery squatters, now the home of entitled yuppies.

It’s based on the “affordable art” principle, this is from their about page:

” It’s a gallery, featuring affordable work from undiscovered and established artists alike. It’s a shop, bookshelves chock full of indie press magazines, self-published novels, CDs, zines, and the cream of the crop of small press and mini-comics.

Moreover, it’s a lounge, a forum, a place with good music and comfortable seats and a constant supply of refreshing beverages where the pioneers of independent media and art can meet each other, plan new projects, greet the people who want to experience their work.”

I’ve spoken to Benjamin before and he seems like a real nice guy, so if your looking for a place to have a non-pretentious and/or lo-fi opening this could be your place.
