Photography: US Gov’t Photo Archives

IRS1 tipped me off to this racket a couple years ago and now I have a place to drop the info to others interested in free hi res photos. The US government has considerable archives of photos sound movies and graphics on line. A lot of it is completely free to download. There are numerous site and though they can be a pain to navigate the fruits of your labors can pay off with gems like:
Archive.gov is basically the motherload you can search by photo, sound, or video!
The Department of Defense Propaganda Mill
The US Fish and Wildlife Image Archive
Sure there are “restrictions” on use and what not, but hey if you’re reading this you’re probably at least a part time vandal, get over it… and enjoy
