One of the best resources I’ve found for printing or promo resources are Indie comic websites. These guys hustle to learn the trade so we can pillage their messageboards for hints on how to make a splash in “underground” art land.
Digital Webbing offers a lot of resources on writing press releases (hint: use spellcheck and don’t swear a lot unless you’re “just trying to get your point across, yaknowwhaImsayin?”). The links are on the money so check em out. It’s gold yo!
