K.See from visual restistance made a comment in my last post on street art tutorials about their new zine The How-to’s of Street Art guide for aspiring Street Artists. It’s available for free online and they have a xeroxed zine version you can get from them too. Funny thing is that I’d bookmarked the same entry for write up on Monday… great minds think alike, I guess…

    hey, ive been stenciling for about a year now, just making small peices for art purposes on paper and canvas at home.
    i was thinking abou takin my work out and putting it around town, im just worried if maybe my peices will be rocognised by
    someone i know and id be in the shit, just wondering if u have any ideas of maybe what kind of places to put them and
    how and stuff, please write me

    the thing about graff or stenciling or wheat paste is you just have to do it, you cant worry if your mom is going to see it. thats the art, finding places to hit that arent as noticable until you put your piece there and it causes that spot to get noticed, just walk around scope spots, heaven spots are the best, anywhere just go out and do it, oh yea its all about the recognision.
