T-shirts: Pretentious Contest

anOTHER T.SHIRT COMPETITION
All the folks involved in judging this contest come correct, but that pretentious write-up screams “the winner will be some design ponce who prints “What is Design?” in big helvetica letters on an American Apparell tee”.
Look at it as exploring the t-shirt as artifact/fetish/object/medium/art.
Also, there’s a $5 entry fee which isn’t horrible but I’m opposed to entry fees in general. So that’s strike 1 part 2.
The upside is that the judges aren’t some fools from the art world’s ivory tower, they’re peoople who know their shit from first hand experience. The other thing is that the winners will be displayed in a fancy ass gallery/store thing during fashion week where they’re gonna sell your designs as limited edition tees.
This will probably wind up being just the type of tee shirt I was ranting about a couple posts ago, but this is probably a good opportunity for those burgeoning tee companies/designers that want to make the big move to baller status.
