Vinyl Killers, one of Portland’s most loved art shows returns this
October for another installment of rescuing abandoned records and
repurposing them as art.

For Vinyl Killers 3 there will be two shows. The first show opening on
October 27th at The Goodfoot will be an invitational group comprised of friends that Klutch has made during his exploits in street art. For
this show all mediums will be accepted with the only criteria being
that it is painted on a record. Visitors to the show can expect to see
the limits of vinyl painting expanded as illustrators, designers,
street artists, graffiti writers, and tattoo artists bring their
perspective and talents into the fold.

The second show will held on November 3rd at Zeitgeist Gallery and will be an open call show of stenciled records. One of the great things about the previous shows has been that anyone could participate. All ages, styles, ideologies, and abilities are encouraged and keeping the show accessible, DIY, and sponsor free are important to keeping the shows original intent. In the age of “art rock stars” Vinyl Killers remains the sweaty all ages punk show of the scene with all the fun and excitement that entails.
