CBGB’s in NYC has lost its lease to the space at 315 Bowery and is in danger of being shutdown. To combat this, The SwearBears, Drastic Plastic, Hi Fructose Magazine, Clutter Magazine, Play Times Magazine, and ToyTokyo present “Swear to Save” a benefit to help save this historic club.
Who’s better suited to help save the ultimate gig, than musicians who’ve played there and poster artists who commemorate the music. The show features 150 Musicians and Gigposter Artists who have customized SwearBear figures. In addition to the customized SwearBear each artist will display 1 piece of original art.
Opening reception is on February 14th, 2006 from 6 pm and on at CB’s 313 Gallery in NYC. Show runs until March 10th, 2006.
