ZOMBIES ATTACK AGAIN
Why do the undead continue to plague MF Gallery with their vile stench? Could it be because of the Zombie Art Show? Or maybe the Free Beer for all Zombies? Prepare to be attacked once again on April 12, when the evil hordes will descend upon us, and hopefully be extinguished by the Zombie Slayers, Dethrace.
MF Gallery is having another Zombie Show, full of gruesome artwork by the likes of: Jeff McMillan, Mike Bell, Mark Riddick, Dennis Dread, Ghoulish Gary, Kristen Flaherty, Frank Russo, Putrid, James Wrona, Jeff Zornow, Lou Rusconi, Jaz Harold, Lawrence Van Abbema, Drew Maillard, Fernando Carpaneda, Moses Jaen, Martina Secondo Russo, D W Frydendall, Chris Warner, Chantal Smith, Death Head, Anthoy Alexander, The Ed Gein Collection and More!
Dethrace is a Band of Satanic Superhero Robots, a mix of Speed Metal and Crazy Performance Art. On opening night, they will perform some of their new songs and then have another shot at fighting the Zombies.
The Opening Party will be on Saturday, April 12, from 7 to 11 pm. Anyone who shows up in Zombie makeup will receive free beer all night! Admission is free and open to all ages, no RSVP required…BUT ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
MF Gallery will also have professional FX artists on hand earlier in the afternoon to ‘zombify’ anyone who shows up… Contact the gallery for more info.
MF Gallery is located at 157 Rivington St. (Between Clinton & Suffolk St.) in New York City’s Lower East Side. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 2-7 PM. The closest subway is the F to Delancey, exit at Delancey St. and Essex St.
