Toy store Super7 is gearing up for it’s big 7 year anniversary party on Saturday June 7th at 7pm at their San Francisco Store/HQ. Super7 is the defacto hub for the Japanese Vinyl Toy scene in the US and owner, Brian Flynn has been an avid collector of Kaiju toys for longer than forever.
Of the many things that they’ll be doing at the store to celebrate is:
transforming the store into the legendary Flynn’s arcade from Tron. Come play the greatest stand up arcade games from years gone by all free of charge, all night long. High scores on all machines win prizes, so warm up your trigger finger and get ready for 8-bit battle with: Tron, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Ms. Pac-Man, Joust, and Centipede.
Not only that but Kiyoka Ikeda of Gargamel Toys and Toy designer extrordinaire Koji Harmon will reveal an all new Gargamel figure.
Last but not least Super7 is releasing its very own Lucky Bag for the event. In Japan Lucky Bags are usually released by toy companys at toy fairs and expos (much like San Diego Comic Con) the contents are kept a secret and can include unpainted versions of existing toys, extremely limited colorways of popular characters, or all new toy designs. The best new of all is that Super7 is unveiling their new mascot Mummy Boy as a vinyl toy (designed by Brian Flynn as well) and I for one couldnt be more stoked. So if you are in SF on the 7th be sure to hit them up at 1628 Post Street San Francisco, CA
